What do you mean in the deep south? It occurs every where. If you knew your history you would know that northern states forbade freed slaves in their states after the civil war. For example: New Jersey a freed slave was only allowed to stay for two months,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], then they had to leave. than any where else. In your mother country they are dying of aids, starving to death, or chopping each other with machettes.
If you think that you will eradicate racism, think again. You are just as big of a racist than anyone. My family owned slaves in the 1840'. They were freed and given 40 acres, a mule and a wagon. This was a southern tradition when slaves were freed. How many of the freed slaves received anything after the civil war from the North? None! Many slaves were used as human shields by union soldiers, slaughtered at Fort Debussy,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and left to drown at Vicksburg. For your information there were black plantations in louisiana who owned many slaves. They weren't treated any better by them. The first hospital for the poorest of louisiana citizens was created by the widows of confederate soldier in Shreveport. It was called Confederate Memorial for years. But the name offended the blacks in the 1970's so they changed the name. But, these same people did not hestitate to take advantage of free medical care. My grandparents came in in 1905 from germany. They could not speak english, but in a few short years they had blended in to make a life for themselves without help from anyone. My grandfather went back to fight against his native country of germany in WWI.
