A spokesman for Mr Foley yesterday said that he would not comment on an ongoing police investigation.
In an interview with The Advertiser the afternoon after the bashing, Mr Foley said he was willing to press charges if police caught his attacker.
Police are still hunting a man shown in surveillance footage released a fortnight ago, believed to be responsible.
The images released yesterday show the male witness shielding his blonde companion with a protective arm as they walk along Waymouth St.
