Soybean futures jump with help from a weaker dollar
CHICAGO, Jan. 22 () -- Grain futures closed mostly higher Tuesday with the dollar index off 0.22 percent to 79.84 on the International Exchange.Corn was off 3/4 to up 1, soybeans were up 19 3/4 to up 22 1/2, wheat was off 10 to off 12 and oats were up 3 1/2 to up 4 1/2.Corn found support from soybeans, which rose sharply on demand expectations. Wheat futures slipped early prompting a day of profit-taking.
