The NFL Players Association has the entire union's best interests at heart when it files a grievance against a team. But it has shown interesting and somewhat questionable timing with its latest motion.

The NFLPA is seeking to collect $82,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych],000 in workout bonuses from the New England Patriots on behalf of Aaron Hernandez. the news late Monday.

The Patriots released the tight end on June 26 after Hernandez was arrested and charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of friend Odin Lloyd.
