| Traders settle into positions ahead of Friday's supply and demand data
CHICAGO, Jan. 8 () -- Grain futures were mixed Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade with the dollar index up 0.19 percent to 80.32 on the International Exchange.Corn was up 2 1/2 to up 4 1/2, soybeans were off 2 to up 3, wheat was off 2 to off 1/2 and oats were off 1/2 to up 1/4.Corn futures rose slightly as traders shifted positions to match expectations ahead of Friday's supply and demand report. Wheat prices closed off slightly with pressure from the dollar on a day with little influential news.
